PSYCHIATRIST

Natalie is an NHS psychiatrist with an interest in child and adolescent mental health. She trained as a doctor at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 2015. She is passionate about advocating for mental health and recognises that good mental health relies on us to focus not only on how we think, feel and behave as an individual but on how we interact with others and how we function as a society. Early psychoeducation and intervention in schools and youth centres are vital for developing good mental wellbeing. She also set up her Instagram account @thementalhealthdoctor as a way of exploring and expressing some of these issues, both raising awareness and understanding of mental illness but also the way our society and culture impact our mental health and what we can do about it
