The Small Charity/Not for Profit Community Impact Award

Winner - Team 1c

Team 1C is a group of parents of children with congenital heart defects
(CHD) who formed a fundraising group to help children in developing countries without access to necessary surgeries. They have funded heart surgery for over 200 children, provided equipment to hospitals, and supported families with accommodation and emotional support. They also raise awareness of CHD and organ donation and organize events for cardiac families, and have recently formalized as a charity with plans to expand their support.m 1c

Michelle Sakim has been recognised for her commitment to using creative writing, storytelling, and performance poetry to empower marginalised groups and promote awareness.


Through her work with the Windows Project, Michelle has introduced marginalised groups to the power of language and provided them with published booklets of their work. Her ethical principles of Connectivity, Inclusivity, Creativity, Celebration, and Self-Empowerment guide her creative practice and have helped to break down barriers and engage traditionally marginalised communities in the arts sector.

Culture City is a content creation house that specialises in high-end creative and corporate film/audio production, photography and design. We began by creating online videos to promote and showcase music, theatre and art.


One of our greatest sucesses was creating hundreds of interviews and sessions with both signed and unsigned musicians. After building a strong presence on social media we quickly gained more clients, improved on our technical skills and invested in better equipment. We evolved into creating music videos, documentaries and corporate films for a range of clients

The Liverpool Community Impact Award

Winner - Paul's Place

Paul's Place is a suicide bereavement counselling programme provided by the Beacon Counselling Trust charity in Liverpool, named after two men who tragically died by suicide.


The service helps those bereaved by suicide cope with their grief, as they are significantly more likely to attempt or complete suicide themselves. The programme has been praised by clients for saving their lives and supporting them through their bereavement.
